Do you need more unique (and most likely dangerous) animals in your life? Have you ever thought to yourself, I wish I had more of an Australian vernacular...? Do you lie restless at night wishing you knew more about this mysterious land 'down under'? Well fear not fellow snail-mailers! Read on!

Snugglepot and Cuddlepie are two gumnut babies from an Australian children's book by May Gibbs, first published a century ago in 1918. For reference, gumnuts are the woody fruit that grow on gum trees such as eucalyptus.

I found 4 of these windowed cards recently featuring the two little rascals, which leaves a perfect space for me to be creative. Unfortunately for everybody here, I am not. What I will offer instead is a doodle/attempted drawing of a less well known Australian animal. In addition, to keep with the weird Australia theme, the message inside will consist of a badly written haiku (in both prose and penmanship) about Australia.
