[Thank You] Frazzled, but thankful!

u/mushroomappreciation - Thank you for the Scottish Symphony Orchestra postcard, and the playlist. I'm listening to it as I make this thank-you post; I don't know any of the songs or artists. My impressions: moody 3am listening; the kind of songs I'd listen to in summer evenings, taking things lightly; aesthetic angst (that suits some of my dramatic moods!).

u/wabisabi_sf - Thank you for the fantastic array of good things, I love every inch of it! The waving lucky cat looks exactly like the piggy bank I've had since I was a toddler (except my cat wears a sash promoting Asahi beer...), the rabbit red packet is adorable, and the blank cards are exactly to my taste (I shall use them well). Your volunteering with dogs gives me secondhand joy -- I've never had a dog, but would like one, and I think I'd adopt a senior dog because I hear they're quite chill, and because they deserve it. My cat invariably makes me happy; stop sign controlled intersections, however, do not spark joy -- I watched that Werner Herzog documentary on texting and driving a few days ago, and have been filled with terror.

u/boogerzombie x 7 - I enjoyed these muchly, though re-reading them now strikes me like a shaft to the heart -- explanations incoming with the reply!

u/o0oiwio0o - Thank you for the cat card (extremely lovely) and the tarot stickers (I'm now craving berry pie, but it's 11pm, alas). I shall keep an eye out for fantasy illustration cards for you, should any come my way!

u/larche14 - I am most highly honoured to adopt Copper the Pot-Bellied Terrapin, thank you! Love the illustrations of him drinking soda and practising archery; I would have had questions otherwise.

u/xlez - Thank you for the Snoopy card. Oxford is definitely worth more than one visit!

u/rennbrig - Thank you for the dog postcard; sending you the conviction and impetus to live your most spectacular life.

u/hermitcreature - Thank you for the secretary bird card; I'd never seen one depicted so fearsomely!

u/antihistamemes - Thank you for the surprise card, the best kind of surprise! How was Edinburgh? I've been once, when I was quite little, and only remember getting soaked to the bone.

u/Typical-Ad-897 - Thank you for your card. I do like winter in countries where it truly feels like winter: I spent one of my favourite Christmases in Iceland. I'm terrible with cold, though, so I'm also looking forward to spring!

u/lehmongeloh - Thank you for the Graham Greene card -- I'm so happy to have this in my collection. I bought two Graham Greene books ('Stamboul Train', 'The Comedians') just yesterday!

u/htmljenn - Thank you for the Hawaiian horse card. I'm very jealous of your riding -- it's so exorbitantly expensive here, though I'd love to properly learn.

u/MsWonderWoman_xo - Thank you for the USPS stamp Valentine's card; I did have a lovely Valentine's, and hope you did too!

u/ninajyang - Thank you for the Valentine's card, and the concern! I'm not extravagantly romantic, but I am delighted to report that I got flowers, after all (despite his mild distaste), and had a very nice dinner/day to boot! I'm glad you are also enjoying sometimes-flowers; hope you two had a great day.

u/thecaledonianrose - Thank you for your sweet Valentine's card and tea and stickers (cats and plants are individually excellent and superb in combination). I am indeed spoiled for beautiful libraries, you are right! I decided not to throw myself into the restaurant crush on Valentine's, and so had formal dinner in college, which always makes me feel fancy. There wasn't much sun, but I now have more chocolate than I can eat!

u/fieldofcabins - Thank you for the Valentine's card (I admire anyone organised enough to design and produce customised cards), and the assortment of goodies. What set do the strange, translucent ones come from? I've found a great favourite in the slightly disturbing one that looks like green paint being poured into a glass with ice cubes. Art. Who is the little girl?

u/Moose-Maleficent - Thank you for the Tesco Value-tine's card, an essential staple of any Valentine's experience!

u/Vegetable-Water-4919 - Thank you for the Meta Language Exchange card. Do foxes really have sandy whiskers? My newspaper choices aren't very exciting; I try to read some news in German to keep it up a little.

u/lunatenchi_ - Thank you for the captivatingly shiny llama card!

u/nahboiz - Thank you for the colouring-in card; I only have pens of four different colours, and two of them are blue and black, so it may turn out a little sad! I entirely relate to procrastinating endlessly over my own things, but leaping into motivated productivity for friends. I am giving you a friendly poke to live your dreams and design your own postcards!

u/stephkempf x 5 - Thank you for the godly cards and words of encouragement (I needed those!); I didn't grow up going to church or singing psalms, and find it interesting that you can look at a phrase and read it musically. I envy you the snow in rural Winsconsin, at least to look at -- a centimetre of snow in the UK, and everything comes to a screeching halt. I love the card from Sammy -- I'd forgotten that was coming and laughed so hard -- and of course the solution to all my problems is to feed my cat more! Silly me.
