Dear carding friends,

I'm currently not home and only received a subset of the mail that has arrived for me, so if you've written to me but the below doesn't mention you then fear not! I will physically receive your card in the next few weeks and will thank you then <3

  • u/mydinosaurdidit x2: I loved your mail and now have several prompts to write back to. I probably won't get around to doing this for several more weeks since I'm in rehab recovering from my surgery, but I'll eventually write back!
    • Thank you for your handmade New Year's card! I know the world political and climate situation isn't the best but I do have some things to look forward to (such as a very delayed move that will probably finally happen this year, and I also look forward to my holiday plans for this year)
    • Thank you for your very long fold-out card with your extended life update! I haven't done any of my regular daily walks since my surgery, but I'm getting some exercise in rehab and hope to keep it up afterwards. I loooove fireplaces so I liked the story of your visit to your parents'. One of those days I'm going to rent one of those huts in the mountains or by a forrest, with a fireplace and a hot tub.
  • u/Applecritter723 x2: Thank you for the two cards from E! So sweet of them to write to us (this whole carding friendship is escalating quickly, I can't promise that I'll be able to keep up!). My partner and I agree that E is very sweet and that we hope to all meet one day.
    • Thanks for the card of Savannah, Georgia! I've never been there, but I've marked it on my map because I hope to make it part of a future East Coast road trip. Hopefully one day it'll happen! I'm glad that you and your loved ones share my love for baked Christmas treats.
    • Thanks for the New Year's card with the cute kolibri! I think we share quite a few of the same interests (I think we're both engineers, no?). The TWSBI Eco is such a good pen; also, I love games although I have not played any group games in person (only over the Internet) since the start of the pandemic. I miss hosting social gatherings, like back in the 'before' times! I also liked your old-fashioned seal on the envelope, clearly I'll need to get out my own seal next time I write to you!
