Christmas came early this year! Wayne went on the podcast 2 Girls 1 Podcast to talk about all the wonderful work he's done over the years at SLH.

Some key highlights! (Not done by myself, because lawd I just can't stomach it).

23:04 - They've helped thousands of families.

24:54 - handling money is dicey - so they don't touch actual money (guess the shipping fund is monopoly money then?)

26:25 - knew the creator of reddit aaron schwartz - worked together on SLH to investigate and collect data.

27:13 - no personal info exchanged.

27:25 - they protect the info of everyone

28:53 - registration process is trying but necessary to make sure we aren't sending gifts to places that don't deserve them ..... LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

29:55 - we don't have to deal with the money side of things (no real money, 'member!?!)

32:16 - someone just gave a switch away! (FYI: he claimed they had "about 500 entrants" for that contest, which is really weird because the thread only has 208 comments....)

32:34 - "I supply a lot of the prizes" Wayne. (Also, notice how close this follows after "someone just gave a switch away!)

34:54 - we don't share that information with anyone

35:20 - bone marrow transplant 3 year old need to raise $25k and the money was raised in less than 24 hours. (Interestingly though, he does omit the part where one of his mods once gave away a fucking kidney and then he got pissed when they wouldn't do a news story to plug /r/assistance).

37:49 - over 600 known santas - at least 1/3 give anon so the 600 number is low

39:10 - lots of complaints about sob stories (could be because 98% of them are fabricated? Just a thought...)

40:05 - fulfilled every single 2020 wishlists - 250 wishlists $80,000

40:25 - almost at $500,000 in 7 years
