Potential landlord won't add rabbits to pet addendum. Thoughts?

Has anyone else run into this before?
They added our dog, but said the caged animals are never added to the lease. We have an email stating the rabbits are allowed since they're in a pen, but it seemed weird to me they won't put them on the lease itself.
