In the most recent volume, Gepetto Pietro Polendina does the liberty of providing the main ensemble with various weapon upgrades that increase the functionality of their weapons, from more grenade like 'splodeys to grappling hook thingies, each young hero receives a new feature, and Jaune is no exception.

The upgrades we have seen thus far for his weapons are;

Extended shield. He can extend the protection of his shield with a blue force field, increasing his defensive abilities and allows him to more easily shield allies.

Extended shield 2 parachute boogaloo. He can use the extended shield to make his shield act as a parachute, finally giving my boy a landing strategy.

Shield bash. A both offensive AND defensive upgrade, his shield logo lights up with purple energy and expels a powerful shockwave capable of knocking enemies back and may potentially be a secondary landing strategy.

These upgrades are well thought out, powerful, useful, and some might say he has enough. But I disagree, I believe one of his upgrades hints at another, as yet unrevealed upgrade.

I believe that when he puts Crocea Mors in Greatsword mode, he'll be able to project an energy blade from it, extending the length of the blade as well as extending to cover the blade of his weapon.

This seems like a logical upgrade for a few reasons.

1. He already has the technology
2. The greatsword already seems incomplete go on and take a look at it, it just makes sense.
