We all know hairstyling is incredibly hard on the body. Im used to my lower back and my shoulders aching, but this pain is new.
I have pain in my index finger, thumb, wrists, and forearms.
I looked into RSI, and I think it may be a fit for me.
I have an appointment with my doctor in 2 days.
I talked to my manager about this, and shes been blocking me off for rest time between haircuts if theres space available. I am finding this is helping, but isnt solving it alone.
Im a gamer and I stopped about two weeks ago to give my hands a break.
So far I see a lot of office workers talking about their RSI experience.
I would love to hear from other hairstylists, specifically. Did you have to stop working for a period of time? How did things improve when you were back? Did you have to change careers?
