Here goes. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

I’m 60, married, retired early to become a full-time carer to my disabled wife.
In a DB through nobody’s fault.
HL which doesn’t help.

I miss the intimacy that we used to share.
And after so many years, there’s no excitement and little more to find out about each other.

Anyone who has been a carer will understand how the caring role redefines a relationship into a more functional exchange.
I’m not here to offload on you - it’s more about Self-Care, if you’ve heard that concept.
The better care I take of myself, the better carer I can be.

I’m educated, inquisitive, caring, literate, a mine of random information.
I’m open about my situation and interested in yours, but I won’t pry.

I’m average looking (if you ignore the third eye and the hideous nose, and happy to share pictures early on to confirm how bad it is).
I’m 5’11” tall, blue / grey eyes behind the usual glasses, dark hair other than the ‘distinguished’ grey bits.
Average body, with one interesting scar, which is disappearing with time.
I’m told I have a nice smile that I don’t show enough.

What am I looking for?
An smart, funny, kind, confident, flirty HLF with time to talk and share.
Someone who doesn’t take themselves too seriously, who likes to tease and who can stand to be teased.
Someone who enjoys proper conversation, and who dislikes one word answers.
Someone with similar issues with the health of their bedroom, for whatever reason, and who is looking to find something to compensate.
Older is fine, because it makes talking about prehistoric music tastes. Younger has worked too in the past, but not looking for age-gap.

I’m looking for a long term connection.
A slow ‘getting to know you’.
Not casual exactly, but definitely unpressured, which allows for normal life to carry on all around (in my case, it’s usually home caring duties).
