Post Body

Everyone here is looking for the same thing it feels like, someone to get close to and comfortable with. I’m no different if that’s the case. I want to find someone with their own quirks and weirdness. Someone who isn’t afraid to push me to be the best version of myself, and then expect the same back. You can be any age/gender/ethnicity/marital status/orientation. I’m not judging. I only ask you be upfront about them, especially the marital status part. I do want someone that I could eventually have as a perpetual 1.

Broad strokes about me. Hit the big 4-0 this year, still feel like I'm nowhere near it though (does that make me immature?). Single and no skeletons in the closet, live in south Florida and my family is here so I'm somewhat tied to it but not an immovable object. I'm in IT, but I try to leave that side of the nerdyness behind after work. Want kids, though starting to wonder if it will ever happen. If you have some kids already, that's okay, even for the crowd who wants to be more than friends (sorry child free crew, we can still be friends though).

I don’t spend 24/7 playing dnd, civilization, or watching the office. I’m happy doing any of them now and then but I like having a rounded life. I want the same from you. Let's stay home cooking together one night, then be out at the beach the next day together, then off on a weekend adventure, and then having pool party with our friends the next weekend, then go see some concert together. You get the idea. I want to DO things with you. We don’t have to do everything together either (please no). You have a night you want to go to midnight beach yoga with the girls? Have a blast, I’ll be here with some wine when you get back. Gonna go hit a hockey game with the boys and have a drink, see ya later. We can tell each other all about it later. Short list of things I like to do? Sports, movies, cooking, pool/beach, I like to say I'll try anything twice.

So what do I want from you? It's a short list. Be a (mostly) happy person, someone who isn't afraid to text randomly about anything and everything, someone looking for more at some point would be a bonus, and have some interests that you’re willing to talk about. Topics can be anything. Don’t be afraid. Stay away from the smut for the first 24 hours and you’re golden. (Yes, that’s mostly sarcasm). I don’t really care what age you are, but if you’re looking for something more on the serious side you should be around 30 .

If you’re looking for more than just a chat buddy, then you should want to move on from simply being on reddit relatively soon too. Be willing to trade some social media, or discord account, or share a phone number for texting. I’m not interested in spending weeks or months getting feelings for someone and then have them ghost me. Now I'm not expecting us to move in with each other by any means, but be able to text/call/whatever within… I don’t know, you tell me what you’re comfortable with. Yes, this is geared for someone who is willing to meet in person at some point. If you're just looking for chat buddies, that's fine, but let me know ahead of time so we're on the same page. Okay, long enough post. Shoot me a PM if you want to get to know each other, chat is okay too. Kicking off the conversation. In the spirit of the moment, you just won a billion dollar lottery, what's the first thing you're going to splurge on. Have some fun with it. Don't give me bills or dinner, want a boat? Hookers and blow? Signed copy of Harry potter? Live a little!
