You might be wondering what I mean by being stuck in purgatory. Well, my ex and I live togetherā long story short, he wants to work things out but I donāt want to because he cheated which is why we are separated. Besides the cheating, he is a nice guy but I can never get past the cheating and have slept with other people since. Heās heartbroken about it and this constant āI want to fix what I brokeā energy is causing me to be depressed and demotivated.
This entire ordeal has made me jaded to dating or wanting any true relationship with anyone else. Iām probably going to die single and aloneā and Iām kind of okay with that thought. Not really sure what Iām looking for in this moment but maybe just a friend for now.
