I like to think I'm a pretty resilient guy. I've conquered a lot of difficult situations and hardships in my life, but nothing has stumped more than women. In 40 years I would only say I've been in one meaningful, mutually appreciative relationship. Not a great batting average.
I also like to think I'm a pretty witty, intelligent, and not wholly unattractive guy. But they say doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results is the definition of insanity. I think I lost my marbles a long time ago in that case.
I honestly just want to find someone to share time with. Travel, go to concerts, split a bottle of wine, listen to sad indie music while sharing a set of ear pods. Don't have outrageous expectations of the other person, just co-exist while co-existing and supporting each other when necessary.
Time, that's a tricky thing. I'm a workaholic. Cuts into the leisure time and, based on my last relationship, strains relationships.
Unfortunately, I'm also great at self-sabotaging. I find it hard to trust the good in people and have been lied to enough trust isn't my strong suit. I AM good at making Manhattans, and I'm two deep now which might make this post confusing.
I firmly believe you can't encapsulate someones entire psyche in a post like this, so if you'd like to get to know me DMs are open. I'd like to get to know you too, so let the conversation commence.
