Hi there, everyone! 👋

I’m a 38-year-old female who works from home as an online publisher. While I love what I do, it can get pretty monotonous since I don’t get a chance to interact with others much during my workday. 

That’s why I’m reaching out here to see if there’s anyone else in a similar boat who would be interested in chatting off and on during the workday and building a long-lasting friendship. Ideally, I’m hoping to find a future best friend—someone to share everything with —from the mundane day-to-day stuff to life’s big moments. 

I am in a long-term relationship, so I’m ONLY LOOKING FOR A FRIEND. Over the years, I’ve drifted apart from my other friends. They’ve all moved far away or started families and are too busy to talk anymore, so I’d really love to make a platonic, genuine, and deep connection with someone.

I live on the East Coast (USA), and I think it would work best if anyone interested were in a time zone that is not too far away and had time to talk during the day because I am hardly ever online at night. Since I spend all day working online, I like to step away from my electronic devices at night.

A little bit about me:

I’m pretty laid-back and get along with most people easily, but I can be a bit introverted (not so much online, though). I’m an animal lover and have two cats, but I love dogs, too! 

My hobbies mostly involve solitary activities. When I’m not writing and crafting content, I’m drinking copious amounts of coffee and reading (fiction mostly). 

I also love listening to music (hard rock/metal, alternative, and some dance), watching TV shows and movies (sci-fi, fantasy, some horror primarily), traveling, and occasionally playing PC games (MMOs and Civilization are my favs— though sadly, I haven’t had the time to play much the past year).

What I’m looking for: 

• someone who is looking for a platonic long-term friendship. It doesn’t matter if you are a guy or a girl. 
• someone in the USA or available during the day on EST time. 
• A few similar interests are preferred, so we have a good starting point for discussions but it’s not a necessity.  
• Last but not least, there are a lot of scammers on Reddit, especially in these types of subs, so I would strongly prefer you message me on your main account rather than a throwaway one so I know you’re a real person. I want to have an open and honest friendship, and hiding your interests isn’t a good start anyway. I’m not judgy, and I don’t care if you have NSFW stuff on your account as long as we keep things in the friend zone :). And FYI, my account isn’t a throwaway one. I just hardly ever use Reddit and forgot my login information for my old account, lol.   

Sorry, but I won’t answer basic messages like “Hi” or “How are you?” I intend to put effort into our conversation, and I think it’s only fair for you to do the same, so please start out by introducing yourself and telling me a little bit about you.
