They're deliciously awful but great background noise for when I am working or doing something around the house. They always expect me to believe they are in a wintry locale with their fake snow and cold-weather clothing. But you never see anyone's breath!

A little about me: Single (no Rochester's wife in the attic), homeowner, have a dog, employed, no children.

I read lots of books (fantasy, history, biographies, classics they say are great so I have to read them to see what the fuss is about) and attempt to improve the look of my house in my spare time through the use of power tools and rudimentary carpentry. I find DIY to be surprisingly fun in my dotage, although I keep bumping my head on the chandelier I hung. I can't help it the ceiling is low and I'm tall! I occasionally play video games and watch a few shows on Amazon Prime or Netflix. Love traveling and taking road trips. You know, the typical tropes. Enjoy talking and am fascinated by other people's views on topics and where their passions lie. I have goals for myself I am working towards and would like to hear about yours as well. I'm open-minded, non judgmental, and fun. I probably quote too many archaic movies and do too many bad impressions for my own good. I'm really starting to get into crossword puzzles. I'm clearly becoming an old man.

I've been trying to get out more and see what the vicinity has to offer so I am open to anything. Trying out restaurants, museums, bookstores, sporting events, language classes, birding, concerts, plays, shows, amateur photography (I have a drone and a DSLR). I like historical sites. Walks are great too. I have a dog that I enjoy meandering around with at parks and trails.

I'm looking for friends first. Let's see if we have a connection and some common interests before progressing further. I'm attracted to intelligence and personality first and foremost. Someone who is professional, educated, independent, open-minded, and kind. Nerdy/geeky is awesome. Curvy, thick, and chubby are also awesome. Someone slightly adventurous and not a constant homebody. Relaxing at home is fine but I'd like to meet someone who is willing to go out and do things. There's a wonderful world out there! Open to any age within ten years of my own. Should also add I am not intensely religious or political.
