My social battery doesn't hold much charge anymore.

I am polite to all, but click with few people. Small talk is painful, and a lot seem to talk when they have nothing to say. I'm drawn towards kindred spirits - those who've known trauma; who's mind and emotions run deep.

A lot of people say I'm a lovely guy. Many have said I'm the nicest person they've ever met. Mind you, I've also frequently been called weird, and repeatedly mocked and put down by insecure people over the years. Still, I get it; when you're not happy in yourself, you end up projecting that negativity outward into the world.

I have a look and style that receives more attention than I know what to do with. I'm emotionally hypersensitive, on the spectrum, and have lived with 21 years of anxiety & depression. I really don't do well in group situations.

For all my struggles, I tend to remain stoic, and many have called me a calm and chilled out guy. Would it were so simple. Hence why I'm only here for friendship at present. A relationship beyond that is not viable at the moment.

I feel like life is a puzzle and I'm a piece from a different box.
