Hello! I'm a 30 year old guy living on the border of Chinatown and the South Loop in Chicago. As I likely don't need to tell you, dating apps have only continued their downhill slide and are proving more unproductive than ever. Hence, I'm turning to Reddit in the search for love!

I'm looking for a local (seriously, Chicago area only) girl from age 25 - 35, though there is some flexibility on age for the right girl. I'm not terribly picky in terms of appearance, though I do appreciate a girl who takes reasonably good care of herself, as I think most people do in terms of potential partners lol. I'm a leftist, but don't screen too hard on political matters, as long as you're not a right winger. Also, I'm spiritual, but not religious, and I really have no particular preference in that regard. I do appreciate women (and people, in general) who are intelligent, well spoken, thoughtful, curious, passionate about learning, nonmaterialistic, and not overly career oriented.

About me: I live to think I have fairly disparate interests. I read a lot, mostly philosophy and political theory, with the occasional novel peppered in. Beyond that, I'm a music lover, choosy movie buff, and foodie who wants to cook more and loves trying new restaurants. I also love the outdoors, although I don't feel like I get a lot of access to nature living in the city without a car. Take me camping in Wisconsin and I'll definitely fall for you! On weekends, you can catch me at a museum, coffee shop, or taking a long walk around the city.

I've worked hard to develop a certain code of ethics and behavior for myself and try at all times to be kind, respectful, patient, easy going, and considerate. All I ask is that you do the same. I do not drink alcohol but have no problem being around it. I don't really use THC products anymore, but, again, have no issue if you do.
