First off sorry for any lack of clarity/understanding, I am just trying to help my boss. I do not normally deal with Quickbook nor have i had any sort of training on it. He got off the phone with tech support, and this is the information that we have been given.

* SYNCMANAGER NOT RESPONDING AND THE COMMUNICATION ERROR DETECTED BETWEEN QUICKBOOKS FILE & SERVER

* APPROXIMATELY 39.9% OF QUICKBOOKS COMMPANY FILES ARE CORRUPTED . DAMAGES FOUND IN ALL THE BACKUPS . QUICKBOOKS WILL NOT OPEN AFTER LIMIT IS 45.69%.

* ERRORS FOUND IN THE QUICKBOOKS INSTALLATION FILES / CONFIGURATION FILES AND THE PATCHES.

* ERRORS FOUND DUE TO MULTIPLE IMPROPER CLOSURES OF THE QUICKBOOKS COMPANY FILES (6284 ERRORS DETECTED),POWER OUTAGES OR SURGES, DISC ERRORS OR BAD FILES, NETWORK GLITCHES.

* QUICKBOOKS DATABASE CONNECTIVITY BROKEN.

* ERRORS FOUND IN QUICKBOOKS DATABASE ( REFER TO EVENTLOGS ).

* URGENT DATA RECOVERY IS REQUIRED.

They are saying we only have two avenues to take to recover the data, both of which are through their services. He made sure to emphasize that outside help would not be able to help us. The first service is to mail a copy of the company file on a USB stick to them for them to fully repair the file. This method would take up to 2 months and we are not to use QuickBooks until we receive the fixed company file. This method is not feasible for us. The second option they gave is to for them to fix the file online which would only take 2-3 hour but it would cost roughly $1,400. My believes that price to be too much and is curious if we have any other options before shelling out that amount of money. Any help at all is welcome and very much appreciated.
