I have struggled with alcohol use on and off for many years. Unlike psychedelics, is not medicinal and is frankly poisonous (at least for me, the way I use it and the states I get to). I've had some major life changes this year and lost almost everything. I planned to take some mushrooms this weekend, a macro dose, to get in touch with some of the deeper blocks in my psychē, perhaps have an emotional purge. I try not to plan what to expect too much for these types of trips and just let it do it's thing.
Normally when I plan a full trip, I am a little more physically/mentally prepared in that in the week (s) leading up to it I've tried to eat well, exsrcise, develop a clam mind, journal, read etc. That hasn't happened this time because of the state of my life and I've drank copious amounts of booze in the past week (to the point I'm waking up with head injuries and broken glasses and no memory of why).
I'm just wondering anyone's thoughts on whether 2 days (this Saturday) is enough time to get some good food in me, couple days exercise, some sun hopefully and meditation. Maybe read something wholesome and that to take mushrooms in Saturday wouldn't be such a reckless endeavour considering my recent states?
I know people can't answer this for me from any medical perspectives just wondering on others' experiences? I should say I have had huge doses of LSD/mushrooms etc before and major breakthroughs. But I do also have a lot of chronic trauma, and even more this year. But I expect it to be challenging anyway, it's kind of what I'm doing it, for so I can release some of what's happened this year. I just know I'm not QUITE as mentally prepared as I'd like. I'm also going to be moving next week and sofa surfing for a while so I won't have the space to just wait a week or 2 as I will have less privacy to do so, then shich is why I had planned this weekend.
