Cerclage at 11 weeks, your experiences?
Post Body

I’m new to this forum and happy to be here. I’ve lost two babies, first when I was 23 yo with 20 weeks of pregnancy and second at 28 yo and 24 weeks. Now I’m 32 yo and 12 weeks into my pregnancy. Doctor put a cerclage a few days ago and hubby and I’m hopeful that this baby is going to happen!

The cerclage didn’t hurt a bit, a little bit of cramping the day after but now I feel like NOTHING HAPPENED. Except for the fact that I know what happened and I’m being extra careful not to walk, use stairs or do effort but mostly because I’m paranoid about having another miscarriage, I’ve had panic attacks thinking my water’s about to break and I cried when I saw bloody discharge after the cerclage but I’m taking it easy and things are slowly getting better.

My first question is: at what week you moms started showing your bump? I’ve noticed a bump in my tummy since the cerclage but I’m not sure if it’s inflammation because of the surgery or I’m already starting to show or I’m just fat.

Second question is about the cerclage: my doctor say I can walk a little bit like going to the supermarket or cooking. No heavy lifting, no cardio and nothing too demanding on my abdomen. But I’m really paranoid I don’t even want to bend down or use the stairs, how did this go for y’all? Is it safe to clean the house (toilets, to broom, mop, do dishes -with the tummy making pressure against the sink’s wall-, carrying the laundry around). Am I exaggerating the care? Nothing hurts, really, but I’ve noticed some sort of cramping after walking or bending down a few times.
