Swaying… grains of sand travelling in between my toes.

Eyelids open to a swarm of brightness. Struggling to adjust, welcomed by the open sky.

Scent of salt and seawater, the music of the tides.

Sat up, one leg bent, knee near to chest. The other leg cradled by the sand. Both hands at either of my sides.

Comfortable.

Ocean bellydances, light shimmering brighter than stars. Such mysteries are hard to grasp.

Missing keys, missing feelings, memories struggling, brain jump starting.

My eyes are fixed to the horizon ahead, where the sky and sea hold hands. I ponder on what it is… why am I even sat here…

Chuckles run out of my mouth. Disbelief.

I don’t even like coffee. But such comfort, the start of day. Is something that I feel missing.
