CD Keys PS Plus region question

I recently got a PS4, honestly I was thinking I would jailbreak it but now I want to go legit and actually buy PS plus.

I've read that CDKEYS is a good site to get it for half off and that is a legitimate way to get it.

My account was created as US region but I don't live in the US. If I buy a key for a year of plus that's US region will it work? Even though I'm not in the US but my account is US region

Sorry if this is a basic or dumb question I'm just new to PlayStation plus I e been on PS3 for a while
