I have been using Hygger 24/7 lights for a while now and my plants have all done fine. Occasionally I would see some hints of red and that made me feel like I was doing it right. I recently got a new 90 gallon to replace my 55, it is quite a bit taller and with that additional height my plants were really struggling with not having enough light. I had two 48” Hygger 24/7 lights on it. 10 days ago I changed them out and put on a Chihiros WRGB Pro. The light was insanely expensive, but I really wanted to get into a truly high tech tank. I’ve read over and over how important lights are but I always kind of thought good enough is good enough. Wow I think I just didn’t get it. Same plants, 10 days with the new light.
