First time poster so please forgive me if I miss anything. Im a mod on another sub so I understand the frustration when ppl don't follow the rules.
Anyway, our love of our life mixed terrier is around 45lbs but she should be around 25-30lbs. I know I know, we take full blame and responsibility.
I don't know how to read the calories on the back of liquid food cans. We get the Blue Buffalo senior cans (she's 11yrs old).
How much out of that can should I feed her to help her lose weight safely?
Please don't bash me for her being overweight. First time dog owner and honestly, any reasons are just lame excuses.
For dry food I know the doc said 1 cup a day, but I don't know if he meant for weight loss or to maintain.
If I'm allowed I can post a pic of her if that helps.
Any/all suggestions would be appreciated. Many many thanks! (As a mod I understand sometimes helping ppl is a thankless job).
Many thanks!!!
