For the past 6 years I have been in a lot of pain. Joint and muscle stiffness, pins and needles, muscle burning, unexplained cramps. I have also had 3 episodes, that come on while sleeping, that I can only describe as Hulking out. Which consists of the feeling that all of my muscles and tendons are simultaneously trying to rip from my bones. Yes, it is as painful as it sounds. (Best I got from doctors was neuropathy with a question mark.)
Two weeks ago I switched over to a (pollo) pescetarian diet. The combination of dropping red meats, and increasing seafood is already showing effects. Joint pain has dropped from a constant 6 with spikes to 8. Down to a 3, with occasional throbbing 4's. Muscle pain has also dropped from 5 to a 3. I'm beginning to feel more flexible, and while I haven't actually lost weight, I feel lighter. If that makes any sense.
When I started, just those two short weeks ago, I had in mind I would add cheat days. Have some ribs, or a nice steak. But to be honest, to hell with red meat. I'm done. Good bye cow and pig. I'm leaving you out to pasture.
Hello feeling 10 years younger, already.
