So it's been pretty clear since a young age that my house is haunted. I saw deceased pets walking about the place, felt the weight and smelt the scent of my old dog on my bed multiple times, my dead nan visited me in dreams, there were writings on the ceiling of my bedroom, I even had my own personal demon for Months until I was finally able to banish it. However, it's been a few years since I've had a True paranormal experience in my own home.

Recently, I've been seeing things out the corner of my eyes. Just black shapes, moving quickly out of sight. Tonight, I am home alone for the first time in months. My partner isn't here, my parents are on holiday and my sister is with her partner at his house. I'm currently taking a break (in a now brightly lit room) from shutting all the curtains and turning out the lights.

Our house is a three story, Victorian-esque house. It's old. The attic was converted into a bedroom for my parents before I was born, I believe. My bedroom is to the left, at the foot of the stairs leading up into their room. There is also a landing window at the foot of their stairs, just before they turn onto the hallway. So I had the light on at the foot of their stairs (I'm a coward, sue me), and I've shut the curtains and just turned to shut off the light when a black cat-sized shape darts up the stairs past me. I call both my cats names and just hear a meow from my room (my cat), and my sisters cat ends up being at the foot of the stairs on the bottom floor of the house.

I went upstairs with a flashlight and checked the room out and nothing but a warm patch and a cat imprint at the foot of my parents bed.

So I'm thinking it's probably just my deceased cat, J, coming for a visit. Hopefully...
