Large bright orb hovered over my wife while she slept

Alright I’m not exactly a skeptic, but I had a strange experience last night, and I’m not sure if it was a dream or if it was real or if was a dream that is significant enough to pay attention to, but I’m really curious and a little concerned about what it could have been hovering over my wife last night...

I was exhausted from work, and I had a restless sleep. I don’t remember falling asleep of course, but I remember opening my eyes and seeing this bioluminescencent mass hovering above our bed, that dimly lit up the room. it was like a glowy white orb, with almost a blueish tinge, it seemed to hover in air and almost descend on us. This thing was also extending about 4 thread-like protrusions that reminded me of the arms of a jelly fish. I remember being freaked out, panicking, and shaking her awake but as soon as she woke up it was gone, I don’t remember ‘waking up’ but I was confused and still not fully awake so I assumed it was a dream and tried to fall back asleep.

If it is a dream, it is unlike any dream I’ve ever had. Should I be concerned, or ignore it, is my wife projecting something in her sleep? If this being isn’t real than why am I dreaming of it, or is it real and appearing to me in my dream etc. Basically has anyone ever heard of this before, kinda scared to go back to sleep tonight.
