What do I do if wood furniture won’t fit?

Post Body

Bought a GF3 recently with polymer furniture and bought the black satin wood furniture to replace it with. The only thing I can’t seem to get on is the gas tube. The reason it won’t lock into place is because the little lever that locks the lower hand guard in place for some reason when it’s not flipped it’ll fit flush, but when it’s flipped to lock in place it pushes up the hand guard just enough to where the gas tube won’t come down far enough to lock into place… I’ve done just about everything I can think of to try and get it to fit and it won’t because of that one little thing….anyone else ever had this issue or know how to resolve it?
