I’ve been dealing with PCOS since high school. My mom didn’t want to put me on birth control until a a very understanding nurse explained to her that just because I needed it doesn’t mean I’m having sex and it’s here to help me.
I started off on the depo (16). It completely stopped my period for three years and once I was off of it, it took a whole year for me start my period again. Once I started my period again I was bleeding off an about every other month, sometimes I would bleed for two months at a time. I eventually went back to my OB around (20/21) I received the Mirena IUD and my body pushed it out over the course of three months. I was in excruciating pain for 3mnths.
I decided to try to Nuva ring after that but I kept getting yeast infections and I was over the whole birth control thing. I eventually just decided to try and let my body regulate on its own. I started to get my periods every other month again, sometimes it would last two months. If it last two months sometimes I wouldn’t get my period for two months after that. It was just an absolute mess. I let my body do as it please from 22-25.
I recently bleed from March-July. I nearly lost my mind. I was so ready to ask Jesus to get on the nearest train to heaven. I decided to try Wholesome story - Myo-Inositol & D-Chiro Inositol MTHF Folate Vitamin D3 (July 19). My period slowly stopped within five days of taking this supplement.
Now here I am a week into august bleeding but not heavily, it’s spotting then it’ll turn a bit brown, and then it’ll go back to being bright red, but not enough for me to put a pad on whatsoever.
The supplement genuinely makes me feel a lot better. I would like to stay off of birth control or any standardized medicine. What should my next possible steps be?
