Need help/advice

Okay so I’m fairly new to overwatch and main support. Every now and then i get a couple of sweats that agro me the entire game and the damn tank or dps blames me for not healing them. I explain to them that you have to protect the healer in order to heal. That’s in all tactical games if I’m not mistaken. Mercy has a pea shooter that I doubt could harm a raccoon. Then I switch to my main (zenyatta) who can somewhat defend himself but doesn’t heal as well.
Any advice.
