Post Body

I can't seem to post in CA, and based on the lack of activity, I guess quite a few people can't. But spread this news elsewhere if you'd like. He was an important member of our community, and it was necessary to tell people.

Three days ago, he passed of a drug overdose. We only learned about it two days ago from his partner after the police called her. No official obituary as of yet, but who would know if not his partner? He doesn’t answer his phone. Stopped posting on reddit, on the discordapp. I still want to believe it can’t be true, but it seems to be. He once asked me if he died while I was there not to report it for three days. One was too soon, but he liked odd numbers, so two was wrong. Had to be three days. ("You would really do that? My corpse would probably smell foul by then." "Sure it would but if you request.") His death is already known if the police know, but three days before posting. It’s the closest that can be done.

He had a good soul. He believed that if we worship God, we should worship the devil as well. Both are important, and that’s saying it lightly. You have to accept both sides in life and in yourself or you would never be a complete person.

You can see his writing if you go to his profile. He would like to be remembered by his writing, if nothing else. He also always lit a candle when someone died, so if you have a candle, please be a saint and light it.

If it’s any comfort (it isn’t), he told me once that he always planned on going out by an overdose. It shouldn’t have been this soon. He meant to do it while much older. But it’s at least the way he intended. And he lived life to the fullest he could. He had fun, the exact type to throw firecrackers in the street as he walked to the liquor store at night.

He said his favorite way to say cheers was “Dori De shah.” It's in Pashtun. “May it heal you.” As you drink your next drink, Dori De shah. Remember him, the times you had, or no times at all and remember everyone who means something to you. There’s never enough time.

His favorite numbers were 837 and 113.

  1. 113. We love you, always.
