Unit Flooded

Long story short.
Unit above flooded and caused catastrophic damage to my unit making it uninhabitable. Roof and floors all need replaced.
Landlord is basically ordering me to pack all my shit up and move it to storage out of pocket so he can restore the unit. Paid rent on the first, this happened on the 8th.
What do I do here? Bite the bullet?
