Delicious Brunch First Date... with Her 3 Friends
Post Body

We planned to meet on our first date at a cafe for brunch. I skate on up to the cafe and I see her waiting for me. I could tell she was nervous or embarassed about something. We say hello, and she immediately apologizes with an uncomfortable smile.

"SalsaDeliversTVs, I don't want to creep you out or anything, but my friends are here and they're probably spying on us." I say it's cool. I figure, they'll be there for a bit, scope me out and then bounce. It's reasonable.

After a little talking, I notice her eyes dart away and she starts cracking up and blushing. Her friends had arrived and they introduce themselves to me. One of them even starts asking me 20 questions. I go along with it and I answer as honestly as I can. I even tell them that I was in Sydney for professional video games at one point. Soon after, my date and I are called to our table. "Cool meeting you, friends!"

Things were going well, until she receives a text: "SalsaDeliversTVs, they absolutely love you. The guys are already watching your youtube channel." I'm flattered, but the fuck? How did they find my youtube channel?

And 10 minutes after that the friends come and sit down with us again, and they ask us how the date is going. The guy friends start feeling a little awkward and they see themselves out, dragging the girl friend along.

I can't say I didn't enjoy it, because it was funny, but it was a weird experience. I'll definitely remember this forever. Anyone have anything like this happen to them?

(And before anyone asks, yes, we're going to see each other again.)
