Hi everyone,
I'm currently a first-year new grad school-based OT and I'm enjoying this setting so far. One of the perks is having a summer break, and I'm hoping to make the most of it by working during that time, especially while I don't have children of my own yet.
I would really like to work in my community with adults with developmental disabilities. I believe this could give me a better understanding of transitional services and help me support my students as they navigate their next steps after high school. I'd also be interested to explore early intervention and learn more about what delays look like for toddlers that also apply with preschoolers.
While my primary focus is occupational therapy, I'm open to exploring non-OT roles to gain more experience in these areas. If anyone has suggestions or recommendations for summer positions that align with my interests, I would greatly appreciate it!
Thanks in advance for any advice you can offer!
