So, work for a small and growing home health company as an OT. Received a an email as part of a mass email reminding every one that they must see folks for a min of 37 minutes or else the company only gets paid some $9 and change. That email came on Friday. Figured it doesn't impact me since I seldom do treatments, and all my visits are well over 45 minutes on average. Went to work today and while cosigning COTA notes, I noticed that at least 4 times had been altered to add time to the COTA's notes to equal 37 minutes. The changes were not made by the COTA, but by office staff. I do not know if the COTA claimed errors and okayed the changes. I do know that we all clock in via GPS which is highly accurate to like feet away from the clients' homes. And, so at any rate, changing times is classic fraud, right? So, the real question is, da fcuk to I do as the OTR and a full time employee?
