Does turning up the temperature of a hot water tank save energy?
Post Body
Been thinking about this for quite some time.
The idea is you turn the heat up to your hot water tank. Since taking a shower will require mixing hot and cold, you will have to mix LESS hot water with cold water because the hot water is so hot. Meaning LESS hot water is removed from the tank, LESS cold water entering the tank, so less energy is needed to bring the tank water temp back up. Am I going crazy?
