Bit of a facetious title, but it is serious. The war in Ukraine has recently seen the acquisition of some F16 fighter planes. They have been touted as the key to breaking the attritional nature of the fighting in this war.
So far, air superiority has not been able to be achieved by either combatant due to the effectiveness of eachother's anti-air defense.
Western propaganda has been saying the addition of these fighters could and likely will open the door for real operational and strategic success for the Ukrainians. Russian propaganda says it won't matter at all.
What, truly, could these fighters achieve and how would they be used to break the perceived stagnation and lack of expected strategic gains by both nations?
