How do you get over anxiety over joining a gym?

I’m a 6’4 male who is pretty skinny and isn’t the strongest looking. I want to join a gym to have more confidence in myself and overall be healthier, but can’t get past a mental blockade. Does anyone have advice on what to do and how I can get past my worries of looking stupid/lost in a gym?
