Resetting for S-Class Freighters

I am currently attempting to reset for an S Class freighter (singled out a max size sentinel in a wealthy Tier 3 system) so far mostly C with B and a couple A.
Is it possible for it to never spawn as an S? If I quit and come back will my next jump still spawn a freighter or do I have the go another 3 hours?
