Does anyone have experience with Extra Wide sizes?

My feet is wider than average feet. The perfect size for me is probably UK 9 but I tend to buy UK 10 just because UK 9 is too narrow.

I am considering buying Downshifter 11 or Revolution 6 FlyEase Next Nature for my morning jogging, long walks and road running (short distance). I've heard Downshifter 11 is much better than Revolution 6. However, Revolution 6 has an extra wide size option but Downshifter doesn't.

So, the choice is between Downshifter 11, size UK 10 (normal wide) vs Revolution 6, size 9 (extra wide size). What would you do if you had wide feet?
