How do you get traffic to your youtube channel?

I've got a channel now with 3 videos up. Very fledgling. The first two videos I posted on reddit and got 300 views, and around 30 subs from.
I also got told off by the mods of those reddits to not advertise though.
Third video i put out.. I've got 10 views lol. How do I advertise these things without getting banned etc.?

Yep keep at it and pray you are blessed by the Algo Gods. Making better thumbnails help but its not a guarantee.
