Our baby was born one day ago (Dec 28). She came out healthy and had a meconium poop in her first diaper. Since than she has peed quite a bit but no poop yet. I know newborns don’t poop all the time. I have palpated her tummy gently and she doesn’t have any hardness or any issues.

But today she has had donor milk twice, latched on my wife and suckles but the moment we lay her in the bassinet she cries bloody murder. Her temp is fine (98.7) and she’s got an appetite.

The nurses have mentioned “cluster feeding” but everything I’ve read online says otherwise and I’m just hoping someone can shed some light if they have had similar experiences with a newborn.

Super stressed out about the little one as a first time parent and paranoid about her health and that she’s ok.

She sleeps whenever mom holds her.
