If you have Mediciad AND live in Clark or Washoe Counties AND have a Managed Care Organization (MCO), then it is likely you can get a free Costco membership, Sam's Club membership, a free gym membership, and/or many other free benefits.

Those with an MCO will have their Medicaid benefits administered by Anthem, Health Plan of Nevada, Molina, or Silver Summit.

These free benefits are called "value added benefits" and you must explicitly ask for them or you won't get them.

Each MCO has different benefits. For example, NV Medicaid Anthem & Silver Summit members can get a free Costco Gold membership. NV Medicaid Health Plan of Nevada and Molina members can get a free Sam's Club membership.

Other value added benefit examples include free gym memberships, free membership to the Boys and Girls Club, free membership to the YMCA, free tutoring, free car seats for recent mothers, and more. Every plan offers their own unique list of benefits and members must qualify to be eligible (ex: must be over the age of 18 to get the Costco membership).

Please note not all Medicaid recipients in Clark or Washoe have an MCO. If you have Medicaid and live in any other county, this does not apply to you. Sorry.
