My dad (sadly passed in 2011) was Dutch and he moved to Scotland when he met my mum in the 80s. A huge part of my childhood Christmas memories are of his family sending us over chocolate letters. After he passed my gran (his mum) continued sending over letters every year for Sinterklaas on the 5th Dec. After she was unable to continue to do it my dads dear friend sent them for us. This year he passed away and I'm faced at 33 with my first year without a chocolate letter. My daughter who is 7 still very much believes in our Sinterklaas tradition where because we aren't in Holland, Sinterklaas sends us a special parcel through the post with our letters. Is anyone willing to send 3 or 4 chocolate letters to us? I'm obviously happy to pay for the letters and postage and even a little for your time, or I'd be happy to send a treat box back with Scottish delicacies? Thanks in advance!
