Edit: as of the latest update 1.3.5 for the d8 things have improved significantly.

Did no longer has issues trying to find his charging base and was actually able to complete an entire run by itself without me having to intervene.

This is to nobody else but neato.

The navigation on the d8 is abysmal.

I've had a D4 which navigated my house beautifully and I almost never had to worry about it getting lost or not being able to find its charging base.

I have not had a single run in the almost month that I've owned my SECOND D8 (first one died) in which it was able to either successfully complete the run or fine its charging base.

The thing just runs into walls for about 20 minutes until it's battery is dead. And I say walls but really it's just a singular wall it'll just find a random wall and just slam into it over and over.

I have videos I could send you guys as well if you would like.

The navigation really needs to get fixed please let us know when you're going to be releasing an update or if we can opt in to doing beta or alpha firmware tests.

I'm happy to give you guys the time of day to help you work out bugs in this thing cuz this is a serious issue that I paid $500 for this thing and it can't even outcompete a $100 unit on Amazon.

I'm not ready to give up on you guys yet so please don't give up on us.

Edit: I should clarify that the slamming into walls things only happens occasionally (1 in 3 runs).

But it's super frustrating and it's definitely not good for the paint.
