Metro-North is reporting “indefinite” delays on the New Haven Line on Thursday. The cause of the problem is due to wire damage and a train with mechanical difficulties in the Cos Cob section of Greenwich. It was earlier 30 minute delays, then 70 minutes and now indefinite delays. Source: Stamford Advocate
Good luck to anyone going to the game tonight. I'm stuck closing so I won't be going but will cheering on from work.
Update2:44 — MTA is announcing some evening trains are being cancelled:
New Haven Line Service Update: Regular New Haven Line service will be in effect this evening. Because of damage to overhead wire in the vicinity of Cos Cob, there will be some train cancellations and combinations, as well as anticipated delays of 30-60 minutes and crowded conditions.
Eastbound (to New Haven) trains will not stop at Cos Cob, Riverside or Old Greenwich. Customers should take the train to Stamford, where they can switch for westbound service to these stations.
