How do I stop this from happening?
Post Body

Guys, please help because I feel like this is ruining the game for me. First, the game is CPU vs CPU, and for the life of me I cannot understand why with a CLEAR lane to the basket, players will go into a jump shot animation 99% of the time!!! It’s driving me crazy. Nobody is driving to the hoop for a layup or dunk in CPU vs CPU.

I’ve tried fiddling with the sliders with no success. Which slider controls whether or not the player stops midway through his drive to the basket to take a midrange jumpshot, as opposed to simply continuing to the rim for an uncontested layup/dunk?

Is it a slider? Is it a player tendency? Please tell me I’m not the only one experiencing this nonsense. This didn’t happen in last year’s game, or previous titles, where CPU vs CPU games were at least somewhat watchable. But in 2k24 an open lane to the basket = midrange jumper animation as opposed to finishing at the rim.

Thoughts? 🥲
