NASCAR's longest race of the season is scheduled every year for the same day as the Indianapolis 500, the only non NASCAR race in America that rivals (or exceeds) any NASCAR race in terms of popularity, interest, or history. I think it's incredibly lame that NASCAR continues to "out do" the 500 by putting on a race that's 100 miles longer every year, and the only way it could be more lame would be if they changed it to the Coca Cola 501. It's clearly a strategy to pit itself against the "Greatest Spectacle in Racing," and I don't understand why NASCAR doesn't just let Indy Car have 1 day per year. Am I wrong?
