In my capacity as a private individual, I Njordomir, endorse Taylor Cling as judge. This is not to denigrate the skills, dedication, and devotion of any of the other candidates. Some of them could very easily make a great mayor, but when it comes down to it being a judge is not about ideology or ideas, it's about reasoned analysis and interpretation of the law. Taylor has said a few things that make me believe he would be qualified in this respect:
I have since the beginning, set time aside to studying both the Criminal Code and the Constitution.
Keeping updated on both Trials and Amendments has been imperative to my legal education and the legal prowess that I have built.
Keeping up to date and having an understanding of the law is one of the most important qualifications. You should be able to summarize most of the sections of the criminal code from memory. (obviously not verbatim, and it's okay if you don't remember the sections numbers i.e. 200.01)
If a self-proclaimed fascist was accused of a crime, whether civilian or governmental, my opinions would not be relevant nor would they effect my decision. I believe firmly that persons political beliefs should never be factored into a judiciary review.
You MUST remain impartial. If you can't be impartial, you should be running for a partisan office like Mayor.
I have, since the beginning of my CivCraft career, been interested in Politics, educating and involving myself in the Mount Augusta Government every chance I got. As such I feel truly ready to serve the people of MTA as an unbiased, constitutional Judge that will work to create a better and more prevalent Nation. By the People and For the People.
You must have the best interests of all Augustans at heart, and you have to be willing to do the work that comes with it. Being a judge can be fun, it can be intellectually stimulating; but, it is also hard. You will be faces with difficult decisions that make you rule between two good people, two players, both of whom you respect. If you can't handle that and do it impartially, don't run.
In summation, I'm sure Taylor will be challenged in the course of his duties, but I also believe he has the skills and motivation to develop into a good judge. His desire to be an "unbiased and constitutional judge" is what Augusta needs, otherwise rule of law will collapse and we'll degenerate into another group where decisions are made based not on what is right, just, and legal, but on what a small group of power players wants. This works for PvP groups who operate on a much more tribal level. Mount Augusta is a constitutional republic and we do things a little differently. This is what allows new players to join our group and fit in easily. New players can rise to be respected Augustans without kissing the asses of "power players." Please vote for Taylor L Cling as judge of Mount Augusta, and carefully consider your second choice using these same criteria. The future of Mount Augusta depends on YOU!
