The games are kind of similar but for all the repuatation DS has I really think monster hunter is more challenging. The main thing for me is the fact positioning matters a lot more in dodging attacks as well as the fact that where you attack a monster matters too. You cant just iframe through everything (at least not as effortlessly as you can in souls). The fact you have to sheath your weapon to sprint also is pretty impactful as well imo

This sounds like a complaint but it is not, i really feel like monsters are rightfully made out as the threat they are said to be. You really have to be cautious and smart when going on a hunt to make it out on top.
