I played gublance for hours over the course of several days this week but it felt off. I really like the idea of playing an unstopable tank in monster hunter but the gunlance just fell short a bit despite it being a really cool weapon in theory. I was worried a tank-type role was maybe not for me but then i tried lance and WOW, it was everything i wanted gunlance to be. Its moveset just felt better and using it the way i was trying to use gunlance just felt was more natural and gave me better results. No offense to GL mains but i could not wrap my head arround the only good sources of damage being wyrmstake and the overhead slam/full burst combos. I wanted pokes and regular lance delivered. Not to mention the lunge, counter and running charge are so cool.

Moral of the story, if i weapon does not feel right, dont force it. Find something else if you dont like it.
