The results of the election are in, and I can say that with high confidence the Greens will be forming the next government of Western Australia. This is a victory for all Western Australians, a victory for our future, and a victory for progress. We will be commencing negotiations immediately to form government. I am also aware that, unfortunately, we have lost our majority in the upper house. I would like to make one thing clear: the parties that have won seats must not obstruct the agenda of the Green government. The upper house is a house of review, and the balance of power is a delicate thing. Holding our government hostage is a horrible thing to do and ignores the will of the people. I am willing to work with you, but you must be willing to listen back.
